Finally got the machine I’ve been after for a while to complete my ZX spectrum collection. It is the original Sinclair ZX Spectrum 128k, picked it up yesterday. When i turned it on, it was dead as a dodo. Lots of colour garbage on the screen, not good. So after trouble shooting the issue, I replaced the ULA chip from a spare ZX spectrum +2 (Grey model). And hey presto, working great. I have also fitted a small heatsink onto the ULA ship, as they are prone for overheating on this model.
